GREAT PLACE, but they need some type of music, maybe German just saying. Definitely stop by and get the starburst.

What a fun stop! My cousins and aunt took us here for food, drinks, and ping pong! We had a blast. It was definitely packed, so the food took a bit but it was worth the wait. Note: the potato salad is not traditional American style. My cousins had NEVER played ping pong so we loved that they had a table in the back and they enjoyed it. They do only have tables and benches so be aware it's not the most comfy/easier to get into for some. We recommend stopping in!

Stopped in for a drink walking through midtown. Nice small spot for a drink in the courtyard. Great beer choices and amazing atmosphere. Didn't eat but the food around us looked good.

I keep coming back for more! Midtown BierGarten is a gem in Midtown. With their outdoor space, communal tables and delicious food and drinks they are the perfect spot for groups, singles, date nights or a chill hang out. We often stop here for a beer and some food on the weekends, and when friends visit from out of town this is at the top of our lists to bring them to. They offer typical German menu items as well as some fun ones that you won't find anywhere else. Our favorites to order are the pretzel with obatzda cheese, currywurst, and schnitzel. Their fries are also great and all the food is perfect with a nice cold beer. Depending on when you stop by it can get busy and seats are first come first sit, but typically everyone is nice and it's a great way to meet new people. They're also dog friendly and have water bowls available for your dogs as well as treats. Just make sure your dog plays well with others. In the back are some games and the bathrooms. Staff is great at coming around to pick up empty plates and glasses. There is plenty of street parking in the neighborhood that makes this an easy stop. Keep an eye on their social media for special events and offerings as well.

Well we finally got around to hanging out in Der Biergarten in midtown. Super cute and cozy with a little cornhole to help you pass the time on a beautiful afternoon. When doesn't a good German beer hit the spot!?!?! We ordered the pretzel, jagerschnitzel, and some strudel to round it all out. Tasty food was delivered after placing our order at the counter. The communal tables are a nice way to get to know people. All in all a great space with some darn good food that we would go back for. That beer though!!!

This place is a great place to have drinks outdoors with family and fur babies . That starburst drink was AWESOME! A little on the sweet side but still worth it. I also had the waffle and it was kind of gummy inside . Will most likely not be back for that. It was an order first type of service and more chill vibes. There is also misters for that awful 2024 summer heat

We got the Starburst and Watermelon Margarita. I really enjoyed the Watermelon Margarita! On hot summer days, the misters are on. If you're planning to stay for a while beware, you might get wet! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks!

My first time at der biergarten on Saturday night for Yelp Elite Jackie F's 40th birthday shenanigans! I'm typically a fan of beer, but on this particular night I was feeling something sweet. I went with the shorter/smaller-sized Steigl Raspberry Radler fruit beer, which I enjoyed! Delicious! The grapefruit flavor must be seasonal. It was also a nice alternative to cider (they had a pomegranate Nitty's), although of the Germans I'd probably try the Paulaner Hefeweizen; from the Craft menu, I'd likely go for the Cali Creamin' Peaches & Cream ale; the Gummy Worms IPA is also a local Sacramento brew. The Belching Beaver Mexican Chocolate Peanut Butter Milk Stout also has my interest piqued, but not worth the higher %ABV for me personally. Their cocktail offerings were a Huckleberry Margarita, Irish Bliss, Lila Geist (White Linen), or a Midtown Mule. Full beer list here (32 taps!): https://beergardensacramento.com/beer-list/ Food! I had one pretzel (buttered, salted), with mustard and I also added on some beer cheese to start. I also had an order of the currywurst (comes with fries), although looking back over the menu, the Berliner Dog would have been a great similar flavor profile! Menu here: https://beergardensacramento.com/menu/ For our large group, we secured some of the smaller tables along K Street, and we were there from around 8 PM until the last call/closing time before some folks migrated to the Merc. Self-serve cooler for water. Two single-stall gender-neutral restrooms near the ping-pong table and planters past the cornhole area.

Midtown BierGarten is a fun place to take friends when the weather is just right. This is the time! If it's too hot, the sail shades don't provide enough coverage - if it's too cold, there isn't enough structure to shelter you from the elements. Service is quick and friendly. You order at the window, receive a number, and your food/drink is delivered table-side. They have a nice variety of German, Belgian, craft beers and cocktails on tap. I opted for the Lila Geist cocktail, their take on the White Linen - similar to cucumber lemonade, it was delicious. Food wise, we had the following: -Pretzel - served with German sweet and spicy mustard. The pretzel came out hot, mustard was delish. -Currywurst - Knackwurst sliced and topped with German curry sauce, served with French fries. The curry wurst was good but the fries stole the show. -Derfinator Dog - Cheese filled bacon wrapped frankfurter, cream cheese, secret garlic sauce, hot sauce, mayo, lettuce, onions, topped with bbq sauce. This had a lot going on, but it was really good. Definitely not winning a healthy meal award with this order. -Kasespatzle - German mac and cheese, egg noodles three cheese blend, beir cheese, topped with crispy onions and green onions. This was my least favorite. I am a mac n cheese traditionalist. There are a few games that other patrons were enjoying - Corn Hole, Foosball and Ping Pong. Fun place to visit with a group.
